JAWS

The Universal Tour was okay, however the company was excellent. Zach, Martha, Jolene and I spent the day touring around the park, we saw dinosaurs, mummies and of course a big shark. Yes, the California sun was a bit much for my eyes;-)

Zach

Zach and Martha arrived last night to get ready for our trip to Universal today!

Mickey

This is what happens when Space Mountain breaks, you get a very special backlot tour and a very unhappy Jolene. But don't worry Disney had the coaster back up in running in no time at all.

Ed

The first leg of our trip is coming to a close, we visited Ed in Cupertino. We went to Ed's favorite Korean BBQ and then we visited the Whinchester Mystery House. The Mystery House was not so mysterious...oh well.

Deep Roots

The Dentist told me I have good strong teeth! But he also observed that my teeth had very deep roots, which is a good thing. Looks like I will be keeping my teeth for a long time to come.

De-TAIL-ed

From start to finish here are the dogs getting clean. Not my favorite weekend activity, however when you finally get the dogs to the dog wash place and get them situated its actually kinda fun. Check out the first shot, Super Dog! (The pictures are out of order; Blogger was being a pill today. I am guessing you can figure out the arrangement)

Detailed

I took the Subaru into the dealership this week for some much needed repair and TLC. I had them detail my rig and it looks pretty sweet. Pat T. you should consider this...you might find out your Subaru is actually not green.

Predator!

Last night saw a dramatic turn of events in the rat saga. Jolene looked out the window just as the sun was setting and saw this shadowy image. We suddenly realized we were not the only ones that have been observing the rats. I had forgotten about South Park’s huge population of feral cats. To say the least…I think the rat population is under control. Now if only I could get an action shot of the hunt…you know the kind you see on Wild Wild World of Animals…nature is so cool!

Brownie and Gravy

Jolene has named the 2 rats that have moved into our backyard. I am no rat expert, however Jolene is. She thinks one is female and the other is male and most likely they have a litter of ‘pinkies’ beyond the fence. Are we in danger of invasion? She says as long as they are not going under the house and keeping their distance we should be fine. However, I am keeping a watchful eye…

That Dirty Rat

Sitting down for dinner last night Jolene spotted something out of the corner of her eye. I looked out the window to see what she was looking at, oh Man! The Rat was back. You know what Jolene said next? “You know, he’s kind of cute.” Oh-Boy, what is a man to do when his wife thinks the dirty rodent is cute. “Jolene” I said, “A rat in your yard is never a good sign.” Sorry for the poor picture quality…the rat saga continues.

What! Another BBQ

You can never have enough BBQ, the never ending gauntlet of feeding friends cooked meat. I think my chicken was a little undercooked, sorry guys…

Run!!!

This morning, just before church I looked at the bird feeder in the backyard, there was a lot of activity. I started counting the number of birds and looked to the ground and saw 3 squirrels. Then noticed that the third squirrel looked a little unusual? OH-NO! RAT! The second I noticed it was a rat the rest of the animals did to. Everybody ran, as did I, but I got a picture of the last squirrel to leave the yard…he looks a little scared and rightfully so.

Closing Bible Study

Last night was our final Bible Study for the year. We spent a great deal of time sharing and talking about personal growth. Overall, I would say it was the best Bible Study I was given the privilege to lead. BTW isn’t Jolene cute…;-)

Snake Hunter

Rangkham told the most amazing story last night about how she captured and killed a snake. This was her demonstrating how she pulled a cobra out of its hole. She told us it was a big snake and that she killed with a little knife. Ummm, if I ever have a snake problem I am calling Rangkham!
